5/22/15 COTV Bi-Monthly Members’ Breakfast
Generally overcast skies and a threat of rain cannot deter COTV members from taking an opportunity to eat and talk, so a group of about 45 met at Journey’s End at the Journey Golf Club at Pechanga for our bi-monthly breakfast get together. There was a golf tournament scheduled, which made parking in the lot right in front of the door a problem for all except those with handicapped parking placards. Some chose not to bring their precious Corvettes out in the weather (and it did rain hard during breakfast), especially Joe Priebe who has only put about 40 miles on his brand new Torch Red Z06, so brought his old pace car instead, but there was still a great showing of colors and models in the parking lot. Members new and old spent a couple of hours chatting about trips taken and planned and life in general, while partaking of delicious food.
As always, Journey’s End did a wonderful job of seating and serving our group. Vickie had selected 6 different menu items for us to pick from and they all arrived in good time and hot from the kitchen. The servings were hearty and most folks left saying that they did not need to eat again today. Separate checks came promptly and all went smoothly, a hallmark of the location and the reason we will be having our Christmas party at this venue again in 2015. We look forward to seeing what Vickie will come up with for our next breakfast.
